Our bungalows are located in the midst of paddy fields and the wild. Personally designed interiors and common areas are made to induce oneness with the ambience of the rural setting. When you’re not inside the room, there are plenty of areas to relax and enjoy the sound of bird calls or even the occasional peacock dashing past.

At the villa, we source fresh vegetables and herbs to create everyday meals. With no rushes or crowds at the buffet table, you can decide when to dine. The dining hall is made for dining in comfort while being surrounded by nature’s best.

Free from the light and pollution of the city, the Sigiriya night sky boasts a dazzling spectacle of stars. The peace of quiet of the area provides the perfect setting for an evening of star gazing.

When it comes to the cultural triangle, Sigiriya is one of the central points of accommodation. You’re able to visit several historic sights, including the Sigiriya World Hertitage Site, Pidurangala rock temple & the historic Dambulla cave temple, which are all a short drive away from Kumbukgaha Villa. The ancient cities of Anuradhapura & Polonnaruwa are less than an hour away. The Minneriya National Park, famous for the gathering of hundreds of elephants, is a 20 min drive away and is perfect for an exciting afternoon safari. Kumbukgaha Villa is also surrounded by scenic trails that lead to quaint villages, temples & beautiful agricultural lakes – easily accessible to explore by foot or bike.
